Already run your farm on TackleOS? Link the two.
TackleOS runs the whole horse farm: horses, health, breeding records, shows, feed and billing. StallionDesk runs the breeding side for farms that stand stallions. They are separate products, sold separately, and they work together when you use both.
How it works
Set up once, from StallionDesk's settings.
TackleOS keeps the horses and the people. StallionDesk keeps the breeding season. You choose where the fees are billed.
Step 1: Link TackleOS
A farm manager opens Farm Settings, then Integrations, and links the farm's TackleOS account.
Step 2: Choose what to bring over
Pick the stallions, mares and contacts you want from TackleOS. Owners and vets come across as contacts. Run it again later to pick up changes.
Step 3: Decide where mare owners are billed
Keep billing in StallionDesk, or send its fees to TackleOS and invoice everything from there.
Billing
Where do you bill mare owners?
In StallionDesk
The defaultTake payments, invoices and receipts in StallionDesk. Nothing is sent to TackleOS.
In TackleOS
OptionalStud, booking, collection, shipping and other fees go to TackleOS as charges, to invoice with board and everything else. When a charge is paid in TackleOS, it is marked paid in StallionDesk.
- Only unpaid fees are sent. Credits and refunds stay in StallionDesk.
- Each charge is sent once. Sending again never bills the owner twice.
- Each charge names the stallion and the mare, and is attached to the mare in TackleOS when she came from there.
- Unlink at any time. Horses and contacts already brought in stay in StallionDesk, and charges already sent stay in TackleOS.
Not on TackleOS?
You do not need it. StallionDesk works fully on its own, with its own invoices, payments and receipts. Linking is optional and can be turned on or off at any time.
